SICK

Anyone out there ever have a middle ear infection?

I am dizzy, can't stand upright, everything is spinning and I'm typing this with my head sideways on my desk.

No fever, no cold, everything else fine (even my goddamn foot feels good) but the world is spinning out of control and I didn't even get the pleasure of getting drunk first. This is SO unfair.

Staying home from work today since I'm unsafe to drive and the vet's coming to look at Luna anyway.

But anyone got any suggestions for what this might be?

Oh nasty, could be a fluid build up behind your you synaptic nerves . Poor thing, so upsetting. What's wrong with Luna?

Hey FMC - Luna is not crying wolf this time. She's breathing noisily (sounds like there's fluid in there) and her third eyelid is showing in her right eye. And she's coughing. Do cats get colds?

You and Luna are a wreck!

I don't know what could be going on in your ear, but I'd get it checked out. 'Twould be a pity to suffer damage there. Imagine speding the rest of your life off balance and dizzy. I'd think it would take the stuffing out of booze.

Good luck with all that and I hope you both mend quickly.

I know, anonymous. Hence, the expensive traveling vet coming to the house for a look.

She could just be allergic to something. Anyway, I'll have my fingers crossed that it's nothing serious. Oh and that you get well too, of course.

Poor thing. That must be weird.

Just wait til the vet charges you for the call out to Luna though - then you'll really be reeling.

Get well soon, hun.

My vote's with Vertigo (and not the movie).

Feel better doll....

And have a happy Thanksgiving (hope you're well enough to drink by now)

FMC - feline asthma! And some kind of ear infection that's causing that eye thing. Unrelated to the asthma, but I'm going to be giving this cat 4 (FOUR!) different types of meds when we're back from visiting relatives for Thanksgiving. Two ear meds, and two oral meds - on a cat that does NOT take meds well. My arms are going to be shredded... You should have seen the fight she put up. This cat is the very devil when she's ascared...

Sam - the bill was only 150 bucks! That's impressive, considering he left three of the 4 (FOUR!) necessary meds and the fourth one will be in the mail soon.

Medbh - I know. It is vile. I don't even FEEL like drinking and that's just...so...wrong...

Exafrica - Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Wish I was going to Maine, but alas...it's the in-laws' turn to be inflicted with my horrid self.

Eek, not nice, but I'm glad it's nothing more serious. Poor you, the one-eyed one here is the same, he's lethal and giving him medication always reminds me of that scene from naked gun, no matter how paws I seem to have trapped there's always one more ready to do damage. Be well, have a nice break.
