RED SOX HOME OPENER.

The Sox home opener is a high holiday in my house. We take the day off (and the day after, for recovery) and get down there early for the carnival-like atmosphere. It's like a pagan spring festival.

Leaving in one hour. For the rest of the day, I will be at the game. They have a Guinness booth at Fenway. Any blogging, commenting, e-mailing that happens when I get back...I really can't be held responsible for.

t.leach - oh, man...wherever you live, get season tickets for your local ball team. If they offer a weekend package, go in on it with some friends to bring the cost under control and so you can split the games up. Soooo worth it. Make it a point to be the point guy, have the tickets under your name, so you'll have them to pass on to your kids. Do it. Just...do it.

FMC- Oh, great day, and I'm recovering now. Not just from the booze, but it's the first dose of sustained sunlight on this pale skin for 6 months. Ouch.

Chris - They now have SEVERAL Guinness concessions at Fenway. Pricey, at 7.25 a pop, but sooo much better than watered down Miller Lite. Actually, urine is better than MIller Lite, so that's not saying much. But STILL!!!
