Yikes.
We're eating our own trash!
Now I have to stop eating fish, too?
My first reaction when watching that is, 'Please let that be a hoax, please let that be an elaborate elaborate hoax.'
However, having seen what was washed up on the not-visited-by-tourists side of Ko Phi Phi in Thailand, I fear it is all true.
The LA Times did a weeklong feature on the garbage island last year. We are getting so dirty as a planet that we're starting to wallow in our own filth and eating our own trash. The only thing we can do is cut down on the amount of trash we generate. Some of the packaging you see on things is way excessive for a start.
God, between this and Manuel's post today I've got nothing I want to eat for my tea!
