Halloween.
And the big news about the Halloween post is....that I have absolutely nothing to say about Halloween. Fun holiday, but I don't go out of my way to celebrate it. When it falls on a Friday or Saturday night, and if a friend has a party, I'll go. But on a Monday? Meh.
We get lots of little trick-or-treating tykes, which is nice. I have shitloads of candy ready. Good, good, good. I'm saving the Heath bars for myself.
The rush will die down by 8, and then it's all quiet again.
Ho hum.

Here on Demented Isle, I live in a city where most of the ex-pats are Canadian. Sometimes I call it 'Canadia', and there's an apartment complex called 'Little Canada'. Until I got here a few years ago, I didn't realize they were so into All Hallow's Eve, with the costume parties and all. Only been to one in my life, and of course I got my costume together about five minutes before. I wore an almost antique, egg-shaped motorcycle helmet back to front. I was 'The Soul'. (Egg; symbol of). I am a drunken sot. Sorry, long post.
I keep looking at the pumpkin design to see if it changes into a face or something (like a vase changing into two silhouettes). Are you wasting my time?
I had my very first trick or treaters in my own house last night -- all 5 of them! It was kinda cool... but then I had to eat the rest of the candy myself...
We missed all of our little trick or treaters because we went to a concert.
But I forget to mention we get to spend Saturday afternoon at the movie with our friend's daughter. So I will be in a theatre with hundreds of little ones. Karma sucks.
I can think of nothing worse than being in a movie-theatre with hundreds of halflings. The horror. The horror.
Yep...that's why I'm waiting at least a week after its release to see the new Harry Potter movie. And I'll probably take a week day off, so I know most of the little shits are in school. Then I can indulge in my unholy and inappropriate lusting after that Ron Weasley kid...in relative peace.
