Is there a neurologist in the hooos?

Hey, maybe someone out there can fill me in on THIS little mystery: Every day, just about 3pm, I get a mild headache, and my face feels hot. I can feel my pulse at my temples and I get really, really cranky. Who wouldn't, with a hot face and headache? I ask you.

Am I dying?

Generally it passes by the end of the work day, but sometimes I'm still in the funk when I get home from work. Sometimes a quick workout helps, but I don't always have the time for that, and have to spend some time pitying myself before the cloud passes.

I am FAR too young for menopause. So before any of you smartasses comes up with that one, you can just...well, you can just stop right there.

Get your blood sugar levels checked. It coulerddd,ss;;- fucking cats! ahem, as I was saying, it could be a sudden rise in your blood sugar if it happen regularly and after lunch. It is probably nothing, but no harm to get it checked out.
I am so sick of these infernal animals, It is late and I am tired, so naturally they are all frisky and looking to play.

I agree that it could be a lunch-related illness.

Sounds like a candidate. Though I have had my blood sugars checked and my doctor seems to think they're fine.

Maybe I need a martini.

Yes, booze is always a good option. And I was pre-med once so I would listen to me.

Sounds like an atypical cluster headache type thing to me, Andraste. Is the pain behind either of your eyes?

God, this *is* a serious comment, isn't it?

Caffeine withdrawal? The same thing used to happen to me when I didn't have any caffeine during the day. Which is probably not a good thing but...

I don't know how much caffeine you do or don't drink, but it's a thought.

Shife - good to hear a 'professional' backing me up in my dipsomania!

FE - It's more of a generalized, forehead kind of thing. behind both eyes evenly.

Binty - Yes, 3pm crankiness could be brought on by dealing with idiots. They do test the patience.

Kristen - 22 ounces in the morning, and I try to avoid it in the afternoon. I'd never sleep!

3 a.m. is apparently when all of the evil spirits come out to play, and 3 p.m. is supposed to be when good spirits come out. I don't know what the fuck that is supposed to mean but it sounded interesting.
